Under the theme "Shaping the Quantum Workforce," the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Saudi Arabia (C4IR Saudi Arabia), an affiliate of the World Economic Forum, hosts a 10-day World Quantum Day celebration in Riyadh from April 7 to 16, in partnership with King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), King Salman Science Oasis (KSSO), the Institute for Advanced Studies Cooperation (IASC), and ICB Labs.
At the heart of the program is The Quantum Journey, an interactive exhibition at King Salman Science Oasis featuring 10 hands-on activity stations designed to bring quantum science to life. Students, families, and educators explore foundational concepts, from quantum entanglement and superposition to the computational principles powering quantum computers, through guided, immersive experiences including videos, live experiments, and metaverse environments that make the abstract tangible.
The program is supported by leading global quantum technology companies, including Quantinuum, Pasqal, Rigetti, Saudi Awwal Bank (SAB), and ID Quantique (IDQ), reflecting the growing convergence of industry and education in building the quantum workforce of tomorrow.
Rooted in C4IR Saudi Arabia's Quantum Economy Project, and the Kingdom's role as a piloting nation for the World Economic Forum's Quantum Economy Blueprint, the initiative advances Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 goal of cultivating a future-ready generation equipped to lead in the global quantum economy.
Students, families, and educators are invited to explore, engage, and be part of shaping the quantum future. For event details and registration, visit: www.c4irsaudiarabia.org/world-quantum-day-2026.
