Quantum Review by Yasser Omar, U. Lisbon.

This research infrastructure, in partnership with the universities of Algarve, Nova de Lisboa and Porto, has as its main objective to promote professional training, technological development service and support for national and international initiatives between academia, public administration and industry, enhancing the development and adoption of HPC, HPDA (High Performance Data Analytics) and AI (Artificial Intelligence) by different stakeholders at national and international level. This partnership promotes the use and development of these technologies in different scientific and technological areas (e.g., Astronomy, Astrophysics and Space Sciences, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Chemistry, Materials Science and Advanced Structural Modeling, Physics, Geology/Mining, Health, Digital Humanities, Tourism) through a joint activity of the different communities (academia, companies, public/private organizations) and partners of the Chair with interests in these areas. Ai and Quantum technlogies will feature as emerging areas being supported by the HPC Centre.
